Drive now has a student organization at the University of Nebraska Omaha. Making
a difference in the local community and having a global
impact. Readingdrive UNO team members made a commitment to action
call Reading For Freedom
This project is an
expansion of UNO’s Reading Drive program with the
goal of positively
changing the literacy rates of juvenile offenders in Douglas
County. The
goal will be to create a reading/mentoring club for the Douglas
Country
Youth Center.
We are committing to continue to promote literacy in Africa. This year our goal is to extend to four schools in Africa.
We work on collaboration and partnership. Our activities will include providing access to books to the schools, school wide literacy, literacy training, promote independent reading and cultivate a reading culture. You can be a part of this cause.

- Do a book drive and raise funds for shipping
- Volunteer your time and skills
